Participants are invited to attend to experiences that are often left unspoken. I record these narratives in the abstract form of the “egg” and gradually construct a collective archive of human “moments of becoming.” The egg functions as a cross-cultural cognitive archetype, traceable to the Chinese myth of Pangu: “Heaven and earth were in chaos like a hen’s egg, and Pangu was born within it” (Sanwu Liji), as well as to the cosmic egg in medieval alchemical cosmology; while also corresponding, at a microscopic level, to fundamental structures of life such as cells and particles. In this sense, the project echoes and re-enacts the transition from single-celled to multicellular life, transforming the history of biological evolution into a humanistic narrative structure.

These intimate narratives are encoded within each embryo—condensing the story itself and the emotional and vocal presence of the storyteller, like a seed that germinates again each time it is re-seen or re-heard. Each “embryo” originates from the encounter between telling and listening, existing as a distilled form and as a vessel of attention. Each embryo is painted in watercolour on 20 × 20 cm Khadi paper, and will be presented collectively as a scroll alongside a sound installation composed of the recorded stories.
